The successful application of Performer scroll compressor depends on carefully selecting the right compressor for the corresponding application. If the selected compressor does not match the system, the operation will exceed the operation range given in the manual, which may lead to the reduction of Performer compressor application performance and reliability.

Danfoss Performer scroll compressor allows liquid refrigerant in a certain range without major problems. However, too much liquid refrigerant in the compressor will be harmful to the life of Performer compressor. In addition, too much refrigerant will make the evaporation process occur in the compressor, or in the suction pipe, rather than in the evaporator. This will lead to the reduction of the refrigeration capacity of the system. The refrigerant flow rate must be considered when designing the system.

Danfoss recommends using a restart delay relay to limit the start and stop of the compressor. This timer can also prevent the compressor from reversing when the power supply suddenly interferes for a short time, thus causing the noise of Performer compressor. The system design must ensure that the compressor runs for at least 2 minutes after starting to provide enough motor cooling and oil return. Pay attention to the influence of system design on oil return. The number of starts per hour should not exceed 12 times (not more than 6 times when using resistance soft start accessories), more than 12 times will affect the service life of the compressor.
