A conventional steam compression refrigeration system consists of a compressor, condenser, expansion valve, and evaporator, which are piped together to form a sealing system. The refrigerant liquid will exchange heat with the cooled object at a low temperature in the evaporator, absorb the heat of the cooled object and vaporize it. The resulting low-pressure steam will be sucked into the compressor, compressed and discharged at a high pressure. The high-pressure gaseous refrigerant discharged by the compressor enters the condenser and is cooled by cooling water or air at room temperature to condense into high-pressure liquid. When the high-pressure liquid flows through the expansion valve, it is throttled into a mixture of low-pressure and low-temperature gas-liquid two-phase and enters the evaporator, where the liquid refrigerant evaporates and cools in the evaporator, and the low-pressure steam generated is inhaled by the compressor again, so on and so on. It needs a refrigerant as the refrigerating medium.
