Can the lubricating oil R410A / R22 in the compressor be mixed?

Poe oil (R410A) and mineral oil (R22) are different in base oil, especially in hygroscopicity. If Poe oil is used in R22 refrigerant and dryer is not added according to R410A system requirements, capillary blockage and poor insulation performance of motor will be caused.

According to the different refrigerant, the emphasis and quantity of additives in lubricating oil are also different. Generally, the mineral oil of R22 focuses on adding antioxidant and defoamer, while the POE oil focuses on adding antioxidant and acid trap. When the two are mixed, the service life of the compressor will be reduced.
