The RC2-200B hvac screw compressor utilizes a patented 5:6 lobe rotor profile precision-machined on CNC centers to eliminate reciprocating components like pistons and valve plates. Delivering a displacement of 193 m³/hr at 50Hz (233 m³/hr at 60Hz) with 58 HP / 70 HP nominal power, the compressor is driven by a 3-phase, 2-pole squirrel-cage induction motor. Its 10-bearing assembly combines radial and axial bearings with an $\alpha$ axial balance piston to neutralize thrust forces, resist reverse rotation, and ensure low-vibration operation across demanding commercial HVAC applications.

Constructed with a heavy-duty double-walled gray cast iron FC25 housing featuring internal high-strength ribs, the unit prevents structural expansion under high-pressure conditions while dampening acoustic noise. Lubrication and refrigerant cleanliness are preserved by a direct flange-on FC500 ductile iron oil separator equipped with a fine demister mesh to minimize oil carry-over and maintain oil viscosity. The integrated 8-liter oil sump supports broad refrigerant compatibility under Motor Code B, including R22, R407C, R404A, R507, R134a, and HFO blends.

To balance power consumption with live cooling loads, the compressor features dual capacity control supporting 4-step loading (25%-50%-75%-100%) or continuous stepless adjustment (25%-100%) actuated via flanged solenoid valves. The Class F insulated motor is cooled directly by suction refrigerant vapor guided through specialized casing vanes. Complete system safeguarding is provided by embedded PTC thermistors, motor protection modules monitoring phase loss and sequence, optional liquid injection ports, and oil differential pressure connectors.
