Why Is There Water In The Air From The Air Compressor
Mar 07, 2020
1. The air itself contains a certain amount of moisture
Is the so-called "humidity" of air. When the air is compressed, it will become supersaturated, and the water in the air will precipitate out and become a liquid. The moisture content in compressed air is related to the humidity of the air. For example, if the environment in the equipment room is too humid, or seasonal reasons, the water content in the air will be exceeded. Therefore, the condensate should be drained out before use.
2. Liquid water is produced during compression
The internal temperature of the machine head is very high when the air compressor is working. The water in the natural air that is drawn in will form water vapor during the operation of the air compressor and be discharged with the compressed air.
The air storage tank can not only provide compressed air with a buffer and air storage space, but also play a role in cooling the compressed air. When the compressed air passes through the air storage tank, the high-speed airflow hits the wall of the air storage tank to cause a confluence, and the temperature in the air storage tank drops rapidly, liquefying a large amount of water vapor to form condensate. If you catch up with wet weather or winter, more condensate will form.
3. The air compressor's own drainage measures failed
The automatic drain of the air compressor itself is blocked or the automatic drain of the air tank is blocked. (Only the primary drainage function is guaranteed for the air compressor)
4. Lack of corresponding special compressed air drying equipment
The corresponding dryer is not installed or does not work normally after installation (the drying equipment fails, and it is not discovered and processed in time). The compressed air of the air compressor is not processed in time, resulting in a large amount of moisture after removal Requirements.
5. High-level drainage equipment is required in high-demand applications
In the production process with strict requirements on the gas quality of the compressor, there are generally facilities such as precision filters to perform secondary operations on the gas and further purify it until it meets the production requirements.
