Carel EVD0000E11 Evolution Electronic Expansion Valve Controller

The EVD0000E11 operates as a high-precision electronic expansion valve driver engineered for double-pole stepper motors in commercial and industrial refrigeration circuits. It optimizes refrigerant superheat management while incorporating essential protection safeguards, including low superheat (LowSH), high evaporation pressure (MOP), low evaporation pressure (LOP), and high condensing temperature protection. Beyond standard superheat regulation, this expansion valve driver can manage auxiliary control functions such as hot gas bypass, evaporator pressure control (EPR), and transcritical CO2 gas cooler valve regulation.

Designed for maximum operational flexibility, this universal expansion valve driver supports various stepper motor valve types and a wide spectrum of refrigerants, including subcritical and transcritical CO2 cascade systems. The unit supports 24 Vac or 24 Vdc power supplies and can operate in positioner mode driven by external 4–20 mA or 0–10 Vdc analog input signals.

Equipped with an integrated PLAN serial card, the driver seamlessly communicates with CAREL pCO series programmable controllers via PLAN protocols. Digital inputs enable flexible control start/stop, optimized post-defrost management, forced valve opening (100%), and backup safety functions.
