The EVD0000E20 electronic valve controller operates CAREL ExV valves as well as stepper motor valves from Sporlan, Alco, and Danfoss. Installation is streamlined through a guided setup wizard using an optional multi-language graphic display or status LED board. The graphic interface provides on-screen connection diagrams, parameter-level help, password protection for user access, unit of measure selection, and display-driven parameter copying across multiple EVD units.


Adaptive Control Logic and Dynamic Protections
This controller provides essential system safeguards, including MOP, LOP, low superheat protection, and auxiliary functions like condensing temperature protection or modulating thermostat modes. System hardware supports ratiometric or 4-20mA pressure transducersand backup temperature/pressure probes. Dual configurable digital inputs manage functions such as defrost optimization, 100% forced valve opening, control backup, safety interlocks, or system On/Off states.
Flexible Network Management and System Integration
When paired with CAREL ExV expansion valves, the EVD0000E20 creates an integrated evaporator management system that boosts energy efficiency. The controller connects seamlessly to pCO programmable controllers via pLAN, tLAN, or RS485/Modbus, and communicates directly with PlantVisorPRO supervisors. Furthermore, when networked via LAN with specific CAREL master controllers, the driver can manage electronic expansion valves inside Digital Scroll compressor circuits.
