Compressor operating conditions

Pay attention to improving the operating conditions of compressors, rationally arranging pipelines, minimizing resistance loss, and strengthening maintenance and gas management.

(1) Improve inspiratory conditions. First, the suction pipe design must have sufficient cross-sectional area (for air, the flow rate does not exceed 10-12 meters / second), the pipe should be as short as possible, and there should be no sharp turns, shrinkage, and redundant attachments; The second is to reduce the intake air temperature, which can increase the actual air intake of the compressor, and can also reduce the specific power consumption of the compressor. The suction port of the compressor should be located in a cool outdoor place, and if necessary, take the method of cooling by water spraying. In addition, for the piston type machine, choose a cooler with high thermal conductivity and easy to clean. The cooler should be cleaned regularly. Practice shows that for every 3 degrees decrease in intake air temperature, the power consumption of the latter stage is reduced by about 1%.

(2) Reduce the pressure loss of the pipeline. When designing or installing pipelines, the length of the pipeline should be shortened as much as possible, unnecessary pipe fittings such as tees, elbows, valves, etc. should be reduced, or pipe bends should be reduced or bends with a small radius of curvature should be used. The filter on the pipeline should have low resistance and be able to easily remove dirt. The cross-sectional size of the pipeline should be such that the air flow rate is not too large. If the air flow rate is Qm3 / min, the diameter of the pipe is D> 20√Qmm. General air does not exceed 8-10 meters / second. In addition, it is necessary to reduce the leakage of gas. The pressure difference between the compressor and the outside of the compressor at all levels may leak through the piston ring, air valve, packing, etc., resulting in loss of exhaust gas and increased power consumption.
